GENERAL INFORMATION
The Instituto Argentino de Siderurgia
invites you to the:
23rd IAS Steel Conference
which will include topics ranging from raw materials to end-products, including sessions on Safety and Environment and with a special emphasis on "Steel Industry 4.0" currently one of the greatest interests for the steel community.
The Conference will be enhanced with the EXPO IAS 2021 where companies will have the opportunity to share their latest developments and products. The Exhibit area will be a key point of the Conference. The exhibition will run throughout the event.
The Conference will be held from Tuesday, 5th October to Thursday 6th October 2021 in Rosario, Santa Fe, Argentina.
Pre-conference courses will take place on Monday, 4th October and will be delivered by internationally renowned speakers who will deal with different different topics related with the steelmaking process and current technologies; and the traditional plant tours will take place on Friday 8th October.

CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
The 23rd IAS Steel Conference 2021 is the place for speakers to share ideas, experiences and knowledge of the industry. Thus, we invite you to submit your abstracts for consideration. IAS offers two opportunities to participate in the conference. Choose the option that best suits your objectives and available resources.

Both the full papers and the PowerPoint slides will be included in the Proceedings of the event.
PLEASE NOTE!
Presentations without a corresponding paper will not be eligible for any IAS Awards or Recognition.
Abstracts will be organized into the following sessions:
- Ironmaking
- Steelmaking
- Rolling
- Processing, Products and Applications
- Maintenance and Automation
- Safety and Environmental Issues
- Industry 4.0
The abstract must be written in English and it must provide sufficient information for a fair assessment including the objective of the paper, the methodology used and the conclusions or results of the work.
Student Papers
Undergraduate students are specially invited to present university projects or co-op experiences on any of the subjects listed above.
Deadlines
Deadline for the abstract submission is: 30th April.
for the full paper submission is: 28th May.
Deadline for the PPT submission is: 8th June.
Proceedings
All accepted papers and presentations will be published in the proceedings and given to attendees on arrival at the Conference. Publishing rights of the written final papers and presentations are exclusively reserved to the Instituto Argentino de Siderurgia (IAS).
Languages
The official languages of the event are Spanish and English. A simultaneous translation service (Spanish/ English - English/Spanish) will be provided.
NOTE! Abstracts will be evaluated solely on the basis of information supplied within the online form.
Also, you have to register as “Presenting Author” if your abstract is eligible to be included in the 23rd IAS Steel Conference programme.
